Sports Nut Swim School Locations
Sports Nut have two swim schools in operation in the South Buckinghamshire area, one at Davenies School in Beaconsfield and one at Godstowe School in High Wycombe.
We opened our first swim school at Davenies School in Beaconsfield in 2009 and it has become increasingly popular amongst the local community, with parents/carers choosing Sports Nut Swim School to teach their children to swim year after year. The Tennant Building at Davenies opened in 2005 and house an indoor swimming pool, a multi-use changing room, a sports hall and a drama studio.
The swimming pool at Davenies is 20m x 8m with a shallow end depth of 0.9m and the pool gradually increasing in depth to 2.0m at the deep end. The swimming pool can accommodate up to 5 x width lessons or 4 x length lessons at any one time, with different areas of the pool able to be roped off to create appropriate swimming areas. Davenies swimming pool also boasts 4 diving blocks, showers on entry and exit as well as a communal changing room and an accessible changing/bathroom. There is an upstairs viewing gallery offering a fantastic view of the whole pool and parking is provided free of charge (for up to 3 hours) at Sainsbury’s car park, which adjoins the rear entrance of the school.
We opened our second swim school at Godstowe School in High Wycombe in 2019, but the ensuing Covid Pandemic meant we didn’t get properly going until 2021. Our swim school at Godstowe has proved extraordinarily popular in the community with parents/carers ensuring they get their children’s names on our waiting list years in advance of their 4th birthday!
The state of the art facility at Godstowe was opened in 2019 and houses a 25m x 10m indoor swimming pool, with a shallow end depth of 1.0m and the pool gradually increasing in depth to 2.0m at the deep end. The swimming pool can accommodate up to 5 x width lessons or 4 x length lessons at any one time, with different areas of the pool able to be roped off to create appropriate swimming areas. Godstowe swimming pool also boasts 4 diving blocks, showers on entry and exit as well as two changing rooms (for male and female users) and an accessible changing/bathroom. There is a viewing gallery beside the swimming pool offering a fantastic view of the whole pool and parking is provided free of charge at the Godstowe Lodge entrance of the school.
