Sports Nut Purpose & Values
David & Mark (then aged 25) created Sports Nut back in 2005 and their main aim was to share their love of sport and the privileges they had experienced to offer children a safe and enjoyable environment to be active and gain a life-long love of physical activity.
Sports Nut has changed and evolved over the last (almost) 20 years; learning from experiences, successes, mistakes, colleagues, parents/carers and of course, children!
We are now older, wiser and have hugely benefitted from Charlotte joining as a Director in 2014 to bring a different skill set and perspective (especially as a mother of young children) to the business.
We are immensely proud of our small, family run business and the opportunities it has given thousands and thousands of children over the last 20 years.
- We are proud to have been able to provide hundreds of skilled teachers and coaches with a regular income, doing something that they love and are passionate about.
- We are proud of all the charity events we have delivered and the thousands & thousands of pounds we have raised (with the help of our amazing Sports Nut community) for charities.
- We are proud that our services have a positive impact on society and our Sports Nutters leave us happier, healthier and more confident at the end of their journey with us.
We know our purpose; we know what we do, we know how to do it (very well) and we know why we do it.

We are a group of down to earth, friendly, fun, warm, approachable, supportive and encouraging teachers, operating in a non-competitive environment.
We give individual attention to ensure all our kids progress
We genuinely want to get to know you and your child. We have small teaching groups, individual performance tracking after every lesson with parent portal to access notes. We are at the end of the phone to help individual needs.
We go the extra mile to make it easy for parents
Our online booking systems, friendly voices at the end of the phone, convenient locations and approachable, professional staff ensure a smooth and stress-free experience for our parents. We have a replacement lesson policy to offer as much flexibility as we are able.

We are always professional and act sensitively with the highest standards of safety and integrity. We only use the top facilities in the area. We have a unique and proven swimming awards scheme developed over 15 years. We invest in new technology to ensure our swimming classes are the best they can possibly be. We have highly qualified, experienced staff selected through a rigorous recruitment process and on boarding programme with mentoring support for coaching development. We encourage and support ongoing teaching capability development.
We care beyond the pool and pitch
We are an active part of the communities we serve. A group of local, family-focused, community minded individuals. We go beyond our day job to support in our local communities.
