Footie skills and thrills

Run by super-skilled football coaches, our half-term Football Camp offers a fantastic mix of football games, skills practice (you will be Keepy Uppy King/Queen by the end of the week!) and match play.


Open to all children from Year One (ages five and six) through to Year Six (ages eleven and twelve), our Football Camp is suitable for all skill levels, from first-timers to regular players.

Sports Nut Footie Camp - What's the Score?

Five-day, football-packed schedule, including:

  • Practising speed and agility skills
  • Ball work drills – Rapid Fire for quick fire shooting, the Crossbar Challenge, Football Tennis, plus many more.
  • Tactical tips
  • Specialist training for striking and goal keeping

And, of course:

  • Football matches – a chance to put freshly learnt footie skills into action every day!
  • Sports Nut’s legendary Footie Match Tea dished up every lunch-time, along with regular drink and biscuit breaks.
  • Experienced Football Coaches qualified in child safe-guarding, First-Aid and getting-children-to-have-a-good-time, even on their first day!

Where does this Footie Fest take place?

Wooburn Narkovians CC, Wooburn Green, near High Wycombe.

Sports Nut Football Camp FAQ's

How old does my son/daughter need to be to come on your Football course?

We can take children who are in Reception – Year 6. Don’t worry if they have never played football before. We play plenty of fun games that will get them involved, whilst learning certain footballing skills at the same time.

When do your Football courses run?

Our Football courses run during the October and February Half Terms and the Easter Holidays. Please keep a look out for advertisements on our website and in our newsletters so that you can book in advanced. If you haven’t yet joined the Sports Nut community please click here.

What does my child need to wear?

Your favourite footle kit….absolutely! Anything that is warm and dry is great and football boots and shin pads are a must. As you know the weather can be very changeable in this country so please be aware of the weather forecast at the start of the week and pack appropriate weather clothing if necessary.

Are all your coaches fully insured and CRB checked?

All our coaches are fully insured under our public liability insurance and have been cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau at the Enhanced Level. Each coach also holds an up to date certificate for Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding & Protecting children.

What happens if my child gets injured during the Football course?

If a child does get injured it is usually due to an accidental knock or bump. All our coaches are qualified to administer 1st Aid to children and a 1st Aid box is always brought to all our Sports Nut Football courses. However, should a child suffer a more serious injury or fall ill at a course, you will be notified immediately.

Do I need to sign my child in and out of the Football course?

It is very important that you sign your child in at the start of the day and sign your child out at the end of the day. The signing in and out sheet will be situated on the table at the front of the pavilion (Wooburn Narkovians CC). Please let us know if someone else other than yourselves is picking your child up at the end of the day.

What does my child need to bring?

Nothing apart from themselves. If they do want to bring extras like a water bottle, goalie gloves, match attacks, football sticker book to show their new footie buddies, boot bag, football etc. please, please, please make sure it’s named!

Should I prepare a packed lunch for my child?

We will provide all the food and drink for your child throughout the day. This will involve drinks and a snack in the morning and afternoon and a yummy Football tea for lunch. If your son/daughter has any dietary requirements please let us know all the details in the medical conditions section of the online booking system or tell one of our friendly staff on the phone.

What qualifications and experience do your coaches have?

All coaches have gained at least FA Level 1 head coach qualification. They have also played to a high standard including semi pro and academy level. Together our team has a wealth of experience and knowledge which is at your child’s disposal, so please use it! Please click on the following link to meet the team.

What happens if I'm late picking my child up from your Football course?

The Head coach will be issued with all the contact details of the children before the start of the day. If 15 minutes have passed, the coach will phone to make sure someone is on their way.

What if my Child is unhappy when I leave them at your Football course?

Children love our Football courses, but very occasionally they may be reluctant at the start of the day, in these circumstances we suggest you leave your child in our capable hands and we promise that if your child is unable to settle then we will contact you. Of course, should you wish to check on their general well-being throughout the day, we are more than happy for you to contact our head coach for an update.
