Sports Nut Davenies Swimming Sessions
Swimming Parent/Child Protocol and FAQ’s
Parking:
Parents must park in the Sainsbury’s car park. The Sainsbury’s gate will be left open from 5pm-7pm to allow easy access between Davenies and the car park. The Davenies car park is not in use for after school cricket sessions.
Access:
Please use the front entrance to the Tennant building for access to the gym. In the event of a parents evening/ drama production the fire exit doors round the side of the gym will become available as the foyer entrance will be out of bounds. You will be notified of any entrance changes via email.
Viewing Area:
Parents/ guardians are only allowed to view the Swimming sessions from the viewing gallery. This can be accessed via the fire escape staircase or the staircase ascending from the foyer. Other children (i.e. siblings) must be supervised at all times and not left to roam around the building.
FAQ’s:
Q: How long are the sessions?
A: Sessions are 30 minutess long.
Q: What should my child wear to the sessions?
A: Swimming hats are now COMPULSORY for all swimmers with SHOULDER LENGTH or longer hair (safetyreasons). Swimming hats are recommended for all children, especially those whose hair gets in theireyes whilst swimming.
Goggles are optional, but if your child does wear them please ensure they are adjusted to fit properly as theteachers will not do this during lessons.
Q: How much are the sessions?
A: Beginner: £10 per session
Improver: £9 session
Intermediate, Pro, Advanced, Academy, Club: £8 per session
Q: If I have any concerns at all who should I speak to?
